What do we do with the pot?

In recent weeks, Greenlife Industry Australia has worked with APCO under the national packaging project to appoint an expert consultant for the preparation of a business case for a national plant packaging recycling program. 

SRU Consulting has commenced stakeholder engagement which will cover the entire packaging value chain and include packaging manufacturers, material recycling facilities, consumers and importantly growers and retailers from the greenlife industry. 

Growers and retailers are now invited to submit their thoughts around recycling of plant packaging through the What do we do with the pots? sector surveys. Individuals are encouraged to support the sustainability goals of the industry by completing the surveys, which can be submitted anonymously. 

The information provided will be used to help inform the recommendations for a national plant packaging (pots, labels, stakes etc) recycling scheme.
