Nursery Trade Register relaunched
For nearly 50 years the Nursery Trade Register has been the ‘go to’ directory for sourcing Greenlife, production and allied supplies and horticulture services within the industry. It has been a benefit of membership since its inception.
During a meeting of industry stakeholders in October 2019, GIA sought advice on the future of the Nursery Trade Register. Overwhelmingly, Members indicated the printed version of register was no longer used and wanted to see an updated online presence.
The register, which has been managed and produced under the reliable and dedicated hands of industry supporter Hort Journal in recent years has relocated to Greenlife Industry Australia’s new website.
As it has always been, the Nursery Trade Register is a listing of all GIA Members and Members of state nursery and garden industry associations. Businesses will now benefit from:
- Member controlled updates of the free profile features through the Member Centre.
- Real time profile updating.
- Interactive location map.
- Automatic incorporation of GIA accreditation and certifications.
- Opportunities to value add to your listing with logos, product imagery and online advertising.
New search functionality will also allow your business to be found easily. Users can search by category, postcode, accreditation type and more.
As with all online directories, improvements to the new Nursery Trade Register and the site will continue with feedback from Members on their needs.
Access to the listing will be enabled early next week when members will receive a ‘system email’ with username and password details for access to the Members Centre.
