New Minor Use Pesticide & Fungicide Permits Issued by the APVMA
PER89330 - Greenlife Industry Australia has applied for and been issued with the Emergency Use Permit (PER89330) for the management of Fall armyworm in ‘NURSERY STOCK (NON-FOOD) – SEEDLINGS, TUBES & PLUGS, POTTED COLOUR, TREES AND SHRUBS, FOLIAGE PLANTS, PALMS, GRASSES, FRUITING PLANTS (NON-BEARING), CUT FLOWERS AND ORNAMENTALS’. The multi-active ingredient emergency permit provides for 13 actives or active combinations across 17 available insecticides to assist in pesticide rotation and/or avoidance of phytotoxicity issues in some insecticide/crop combinations. Actives and products listed in the permit are: Acephate (LANCER or ORTHENE), acetamiprid + novaluron (CORMORAM), alpha-cypermethrin (DOMINEX or CONQUEST ALPHA FORTE), azadirachtin (AZAMAX), chlorantraniliprole (CORAGEN or ACELEPRYN GR), chlorantraniliprole + thiamethoxam (DURIVO), cyantraniliprole + thiamethoxam (SPINNER TURF), emamectin (PROCLAIM), indoxacarb (AVATAR or PROVAUNT TURF)), lambda-cyhalothrin (KARATE ZEON), Methomyl (LANATE-L), methoxyfenozide (PRODIGY) and pyrethrins (PYGANIC).
PER88719 - Greenlife Industry Australia (GIA) has applied for and been issued with the Minor Use Permit (PER88719) for the management, by suppression, of number of foliage and soil/growing media based plant pathogens in ‘NURSERY STOCK (NON-FOOD) – SEEDLINGS, TUBES & PLUGS, POTTED COLOUR, TREES AND SHRUBS, FOLIAGE PLANTS, PALMS, GRASSES, FRUITING PLANTS (NON-BEARING), CUT FLOWERS AND ORNAMENTALS’. PER88719 SERIFEL BIOFUNGICIDE (Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain MB1600) is the commercially available product approved for the following situation/pathogen: Foliar: Alternaria leaf spot (Alternaria spp.), Anthracnose (Colletotrichum spp.), Cercospora leaf spot (Cercospora spp.), Downy Mildew (Peronospora spp.), Grey Mould (Botrytis cinerea), Powdery Mildew Erysiphe/Leveillula/Podosphaera/ Sphaerotheca spp.), Rust (Puccinia spp.) and White Mould/Watery soft rot (Sclerotinia spp.). Soil/Media: Fusarium Wilt (Fusarium spp.), Leaf Drop (Sclerotinia spp.), Phytophthora Root Rot (Phytophthora spp.), Pythium Damping Off (Pythium spp.), Rhizoctonia Rot (Rhizoctonia spp.) and Verticillium Wilt (Verticillium spp.).
