New Minor Use Permits – April 2022

Two Minor Use Permits (New Applications) have been approved by the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) for the nursery industry within the last month. Minor Use Permit number PER91812 and PER91816 are now available as described below.
Through the ‘National Biosecurity and Sustainable Plant Production Program’ (NY20001), levy funds and additional contributions from the Australian Government were used to apply for the new Minor Use Permit (MUP).
PER91812 - Multi Insecticide, Vertimec (abamectin), Voliam Targo (abamectin + chlorantraniliprole), Azamax (azadirachtin), Dimilin (diflubenzuron), Proclaim (emamectin), Admiral (pyriproxyfen) nursery stock and ornamentals including (non-food) – seedlings, tubes, potted colour, trees, shrubs, foliage plants, palms, grasses, fruit plants (non-bearing), cut flowers* and ornamentals. For the management of Diptera including Leafminers (Liriomyza sp), Vegetable leafminer (Liriomyza sativae), Fungus gnats (Sciaroidea spp.), Fungus gnats (Bradysia spp.), Shore Flies (Ephydridae spp.).
PER91816 – Multi Insecticide, Applaud (buprofezin), Sero-X (Clitoria ternatea extract), Teppan (cyclaniliprole), Proclaim (emamectin), Insegar (fenoxycarb), Mainman (flonicamid), Pestoil (petroleum oil), Success Neo (spinetoram), Movento (spirotetramat). Nursery stock, cut flowers and ornamentals (non-food) for the listed insects within the family Hemiptera: Aphids, Leafhoppers, Mealybugs, Mirids, Psyllids, Scale insects, Stink bugs and Whiteflies.
