New Minor Use Fungicide & Pesticide Permits issued by the APVMA
Greenlife Industry Australia (GIA) manages the pesticide Minor Use Permit (MUP) program on behalf of the nursery industry under the levy funded National Biosecurity and Sustainable Plant Production Program (NY20001).
The following is a list of new Minor Use Fungicide & Pesticide Permits issued by the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) in October 2021.
Greenlife Industry Australia has applied for and been issued with the Minor Use Permit (PER90454) for the management of fungus gnats, shore flies, armyworm (including fall armyworm), leafminer, looper, lepidopteran larvae, psyllids, weevil and whiteflies (suppression) on Nursery Stock (Non-Food) – Seedlings, Tubes And Plugs, Potted Colour, Trees And Shrubs, Foliage Plants, Palms And Grasses, and Fruiting Plants (Non-Bearing), Cut Flowers, Foliage And Ornamentals. PER90454 Dimilin WP 250 Insect Growth Regulator (APVMA No. 40747) containing: 250g/kg DIFLUBENZURON as the only active constituent is a larvicide insecticide that has a selective action against immature life stages of insect pests by limiting the formation of chitin (forms the exoskeleton) causing the insect to moult early without a properly formed exoskeleton.
Greenlife Industry Australia has applied for and been re-issued with the Minor Use Permit (PER90451) for the management of Anthracnose (Colletotrichum spp.) fungal pathogens on Nursery Stock (Non-Food) – Seedlings, Tubes And Plugs, Potted Colour, Trees And Shrubs, Foliage Plants, Palms And Grasses, and Fruiting Plants (Non-Bearing), Cut Flowers, Foliage And Ornamentals. PER90451 Octave WP Fungicide (APVMA No. 30485) and Sportak Fungicide (APVMA No. 30484) containing: 462g/kg and 450 g/kg respectively PROCHLORAZ as the only active constituent.
