Leadership Recruitment for Greenlife Industry Australia
The Greenlife Industry Australia (GIA) Board is in the process of managing the appointment of key personnel to manage the business going forward. It includes the recruitment of a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) following the resignation of Peter Vaughan and the management of the next ‘rotation’ of directors on the Board.
GIA Chief Executive Officer Recruitment
The recruitment of the next GIA CEO is a Board led recruitment process supported by a recruitment company and it is well underway. The position will be advertised in August and then be followed by applicant assessment, interviews and appointment. The CEO selection committee is comprised of Glenn Fenton (President), Ben Grange (Vice President), Brian Acworth and Davina Boyd.
The Board will use a ‘hybrid’ approach by using a human resources recruitment organisation to provide support in drafting the advertisement and position description and managing the advertising for the role. The selection committee will then review the applications and narrow them down to make a selection in consultation with all the directors.
GIA Director Selection and Election – Second Rotation
The second rotation of GIA Directors has commenced and will culminate in the election of two Directors at the GIA Annual General Meeting on 23 November. In the first rotation in 2020, two Directors being Glenn Fenton and Brian Acworth, were ‘selected by lot’ to ‘voluntarily resign’ from the Board with both being re-elected.
In the second rotation, two of the remaining five Directors appointed originally for the inaugural Board have ‘resigned’ and two Directors will be elected for a three-year term. The five Directors in this rotation being Ben Grange, Davina Boyd, Karen Brock, Josh Byrne and Alistair Hill. Alistair Hill and Josh Byrne have voluntarily ‘resigned’ in this rotation and the three remaining Directors will be involved in the third rotation in 2022.
