Greenlife Industry Australia launches new website
We are pleased to advise that Phase 1 of Greenlife Industry Australia’s new website is live.
In development since August 2020, the new look site aims to support key deliverables of GIA’s strategic plan. The new site is easy to navigate, representative of Australia’s greenlife industry and for the first time, incorporates a Member Only content section.
Early next week, the primary contact of all GIA financial members and States Association Members will receive the details of a username and password giving them access to the Member Centre and Member only content on the website. The Member Centre provides access to business planning tools, restricted news articles and allows businesses to update their own membership profile information.
Separately business members can also control their free listing in the Nursery Trade Register, which has relocated the Greenlife Industry website. For more information on the Nursery Trade Register read our article here.
Other new features on the website include:
- a modern new look
- dedicated Biosecurity Alerts page
- the Communications Centre which houses news and publications including Nursery Papers, news articles and videos and more; and
- an online application and payment gateway.
To demonstrate the value of the industry, the site contains pages dedicated to statistics and research, highlighting the benefits and value of greenlife. While policy areas are currently under review, the site contains the industry’s current policies on key issues such as climate and water.
Plant health and biosecurity initiatives feature heavily on the site with information about Plant Protection Officers, the Australian Plant Production Standard and the levy funded Biosecurity project.
Home Gardeners are directed to the member owned initiative Plant Pals. It also highlights programs which promote the many benefits of greenlife by directing readers to industry supported activities including Garden Releaf, Plant Life Balance and Greener Spaces Better Places.
Greenlife careers are a major strategic focus for the organisation with training, education and professional development information available on the site. This information will continue to evolve with additional phases of the website development seeing the launch of the Greenlife Careers Hub which will feature a careers guide, career case studies and an interactive jobs board. The Careers Hub which is supported under the levy funded Developing Nursey Career Pathways project, is expected to launch by June 2021.
Like all websites, the industry site is dynamic and evolving. If you have any feedback on the new site, please email your comments to info@greenlifeindustry.com.au.
