Bayer announce discontinuation of Confidor

Bayer have recently advised stakeholders that following a recent global review of their crop protection portfolio, they have decided to discontinue sales of the Confidor brands in Australia by the end of 2021. 

Bayer will continue to sell both Confidor Guard Soil Insecticide and Confidor 200 SC until 31 December 2021, after which time these products will no longer be available.

Bayer anticipate that enough inventory will be available to supply the market for the 2021 calendar year, based on historical demand. Confidor Guard and Confidor 200 SC will continue to be sold at current price and commercial arrangements until all stock is exhausted.

Bayer’s remaining imidacloprid products, including Movento Energy, Gaucho, Hombre, and home and garden Confidor-branded products, will remain part of their brand portfolio post 2021.
