Two New Faces Working For You

We extend a warm welcome to Shannon Edey who started last week as the Finance Manager for Greenlife Industry Australia.

Shannon is a qualified Chartered Accountant with thirteen years of experience. She began her career at a mid-sized accounting firm in Sydney where she worked on tax and account statement preparation for all entity types whilst studying a Bachelor of Business at UTS. After completing her degree, she moved away from tax work to work as a Senior Financial Analyst for General Mills (Manufacturer of Old El Paso, Betty Crocker & Latina).

She has strong experience across all aspects of financial management including payroll, cash flow management & forecasting, BAS preparation, audit preparation and liaising with both internal and external auditors and annual budget preparation. She also has solid experience and a special interest in creating efficiencies and best practice within organisations.

Celeste Cook has been appointed to the role of Nursery Industry Plant Protection Officer funded under the Biosecurity project with Hort Innovation.

Celeste has tertiary qualifications in animal and plant biosecurity, horticulture and teaching.

Celeste will provide on-farm support to industry stakeholders in the implementation of programs under the Nursery Production Farm Management System with an emphasis on plant protection and biosecurity. Celeste will be contributing to the ongoing development and implementation of the National Nursery Industry Biosecurity Program, including delivering a range of services across the Nursery Production Farm Management System (NIASA, EcoHort and BioSecure HACCP). Celeste will engage with industry including production nurseries, greenlife markets and growing media manufacturers across the territories of Queensland and Northern New South Wales (Coffs Harbour to Cairns).
