Representing Our Members To Federal Government
It has never been more important to be a member of your national industry association.
The last couple of months have been a whirlwind for everyone and yet the national conference in Perth seems so long ago.
Greenlife Industry Australia has been like a Trachelospermum jasminoides in lobbying to be listed on the ‘Essential businesses’ list. In starting conversations and promoting a plant life balance and the health benefits of families gardening together. This train of thought came from Minister Littleproud in an on-air conversation with Graham Ross on 2GB’s ‘Garden Clinics’ 40th birthday show.
It shows a movement of thought coming through from a movement of passionate industry professionals who have been working harder these past few months to keep our industry in the front of Federal Governments minds, keeping the industry relevant and trading in times where other industries are not.
This can only be done with the backing of the industry and, strength in numbers mean greater clout where it is needed most in order to affect change.
In my travels, I have been talking to numerous people to understand what it is the industry is looking for from the national industry association – Representation was one.
This is your voice, your industry, your national association.
So in my original statement, ‘It has never been more important to be a member of your national industry association’ – that statement holds true.
