Record number of Participants in the Greenlife Data Collection
Greenlife Industry Australia, together with project partners Down to Earth Research (DTER) and ACIL Allen Consulting (AAC) are pleased to advise that more than 300 greenlife producers have participated in the 2018/2019 data collection.
This level of participation from growers across a range of geographies, segments and sizes, contributes to a comprehensive and more accurate picture of the greenlife industry’s economic, social and environmental contribution. Aggregated data from the project provides the industry with a snapshot detailing size, value, production and employment.
The collection will also inform the development of the third edition of the business benchmarking tool. The tool aims to assist growers with business planning, resource prioritisation and provide longitudinal data to track industry trends and performance.
The results of the collection and the next edition of the benchmarking tool are due for release early next year. The current excel-based tool is available to nursery levy payers by requesting a free copy from communications@horticulture.com.au.
The results of the 2018/2019 collection will be presented by Daniel Watson of DTER and Jan Paul van Moort of AAC at the Healthy Plants Healthy People National Conference on 3-5 March 2020, in Perth. The presentation will cover the collection and analysis process, tool development and outline the most recent results.
Additionally, during the conference, delegates can make appointments with an AAC analyst to access face to face support for the benchmarking tool and to understand and interpret the data and how it can benefit their business. This initiative is designed to provide specific attention to individual circumstances and is offered free of charge. To make an appointment, contact kobie.keenan@greenlifeindustry.com.au.
