The industry minor use permit program is facilitated as part of the levy funded project NY15004 National Nursery Industry Biosecurity. Having access to a variety of chemical pest control options builds a level of resilience in the industry and facilitates the prudent use of chemicals through rotations and limits the reliance on one or two major chemicals. The program also considers the development of emergency permits pre-empting significant biosecurity incursions and ensuring that options are available in the event of an incursion.
