Media release: Greenlife growers left out in the cold, but Bunnings is on notice
Greenlife Industry Australia (GIA) acknowledges the release of Dr Craig Emerson’s final report of the Review of the Grocery Code of Conduct, and the Federal Government response to the recommendations made by Dr Emerson.
The final recommendations include making the Code mandatory, introducing significant penalties for non-compliance, and developing a more accessible dispute resolution process that protects growers against retributions. GIA is deeply disappointed however, that although plants are already included in the Food & Grocery Code, the biggest retailer of these - Bunnings – remains outside the Code,
